Upgrading an old boiler with a more efficient model can vastly reduce your energy bills and create a warmer home. If you are in receipt of qualifying benefits and your boiler is 10+ years old, you will qualify for a free replacement boiler.
The benefits of upgrading your boiler
With energy bills more expensive than ever, your boiler needs to be heating your home for the lowest possible cost. There’s a wide range of energy efficient boilers available, helping to reduce your heating bills and create a warmer home.
Boilers installed in the UK are required to be condensing boilers. These are far more efficient than traditional boilers as they release gas at just 55 degrees Celsius (rather than 180 degrees), therefore requiring less energy to generate the same amount of heat.
Who qualifies for a replacement boiler grant?
If you receive Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit (and have an household income of less than £15,860), you will qualify automatically for the free insulation or replacement boiler grant. Your current boiler must be more than 10 years old in order to qualify.
If you do not receive either of these benefits, you will need to be in receipt of those benefits listed on the left AND one or more benefits listed on the right.

Flexible finance options
For those who do not receive the qualifying benefits listed above, you may still qualify for a monthly payment to plan to spread the cost of a new boiler with small manageable payments. You will repay this loan from the savings to your energy bills, e.g. if the replacement boiler saved you £30 a month, approximately £20 would be repaid each month towards this loan.
